Beware of a scam targeting drivers in San Francisco. Seems “Phone Pay” stickers are popping up on parking meters across the city with fake QR codes. One was found last week near Fisherman’s Wharf and an investigation found at least five more. The good news is the deceptive website linked to the QR codes has now been deactivated. City officials still urge everyone to make sure they’re using authorized payment methods.
