Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass’ “Inside Safe” program is being characterized as a haven for drug sales and addiction. A man is suing the city over damages related to drug use outside a hotel in Westlake that was converted into temporary housing for homeless people.
The man behind the suit says city officials are turning a blind eye to drug deals, addiction, and overdoses at the Stuart Hotel. He adds that even though private bathrooms are available inside the facility, residents are too high on drugs to go inside, so they relieve themselves on the sidewalk. The city has not commented on the lawsuit.
