The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Bay Area, starting Monday and ending Wednesday at 11 p.m. Temperatures will be 15 to 25 degrees above normal, with records possibly broken on Tuesday.

The coast will be in the 70s to mid-80s, the bay shoreline in the mid-80s to nearly 100, and further inland in the mid-90s to 107 degrees.

Tuesday will be the hottest day. There’s a high risk of fires in Northern California due to the heat and low humidity. A spare the air alert is in effect for Monday.
