The Oakland Athletics are headed to Seattle today to finish the season after an emotional farewell at home. They took the field for the last time yesterday, beating the Texas Rangers. The Coliseum was sold out with almost 47-thousand fans. After the game, A’s manager Mark Kotsay thanked everyone and started a “Let’s Go Oakland” chant. The team is temporarily moving to Sacramento until their new Las Vegas stadium is ready in 2028.
