Another Increase Is Coming To PG&E Bills

PG&E bills could increase by an additional six dollars per month by the end of the year.  California regulators would need to approve the company’s request to recoup electricity expenses from recent storms.  This comes on the back of a recent half-percent electricity rate rise and a natural gas charge increase in September.

State regulators in California have given the green light for PG&E to raise prices. The extra money will also help PG&E cover the costs of dealing with wildfires and making improvements to its old electric and gas systems. Over the last decade, PG&E electric rates have surged by 110-percent, far exceeding the rate of inflation.
