An accused serial killer is in Ventura County to face three counts of first-degree murder. Prosecutors say DNA evidence links 73-year-old Warren Alexander with three killings in the 1970s. On Tuesday, Alexander was extradited from North Carolina to Ventura County where he was charged in connection with the strangling deaths of three women. He had been behind bars in North Carolina in connection with another cold case murder from 1992. The Ventura County murders happened a few months apart in 1977. The cases were reopened in February of 2023.
