Fast food workers in California are demanding another raise in the minimum wage.  Four months ago, the state bumped the hourly rate from 16 to 20 dollars, but now the California Fast Food Workers Union says that’s not enough.  It is seeking a raise to 20 dollars and 70 cents.  The pay increase was among a list of demands sent to the State’s Fast Food Council.  The union is also calling for back pay, increased job stability, consistent schedules, and an investigation into what it calls “pervasive abuses” in the fast food industry.  A meeting is scheduled for later this month.
