The three-year-old son of Dodgers’ first baseman Freddie Freeman is battling a rare neurological disorder. On Thursday, Freeman and his wife announced their youngest son, Maximus, was diagnosed with a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome, which is especially rare in children. The Freemans say their son went into “full-body paralysis” last Friday and was rushed to a hospital. Freeman is away from the team so he can be at his son’s side.
