Kamala Harris’s role as the President’s “border czar” is being highlighted by Republicans, who point to a surge in illegal immigration.
California Congressman Pete Aguilar says, in that role, the Vice President has reduced the number of illegal immigrants who are coming from Central America.
When Harris was California’s Attorney General, she turned heads by saying “an undocumented immigrant is not a criminal.” She went on to suggest that it’s “ludicrous” to deport the some 12 million people who are in the country illegally.
