Heavy hearts are being felt across the Bay Area over the loss of a Vacaville police officer. Matthew Bowen was on his motorcycle yesterday making a traffic stop when a car slammed into him. Witnesses reportedly kept the driver from running off and the CHP believes she was under the influence of drugs. The 24-year-old was arrested on DUI and homicide charges. The police department says Bowen “served with the highest dedication and honor.”
