The murder of a Sacramento bail bondsman is sparking outrage among businesses and crime victims in California’s capital city.  Topo Padilla, co-owner of Greg Padilla Bail Bonds and employer of slain bondsman Kevin Brace, slammed city officials for allowing an unsafe environment downtown after Brace was beaten to death early Monday at the business.

Brace worked in downtown Sacramento for 34 years and was on his usual overnight shift.  Security footage shows Former El Camino Fundamental High School wrestling coach Jacob Mandell attacking Brace after asking to use the phone.  Mandell made his first court appearance Wednesday afternoon and is scheduled to return on June 12th.
