Governor Newsom’s plan to fight the homelessness crisis is up in the air. Proposition One is still to close to call this morning as ballots continue to be counted.
At last check, it barely had over 50-percent of yes votes.
If it passes, the state would be allowed to use money from a 2004 tax on millionaires to pay for better housing, treatment, vocational and rental assistance for homeless people with serious mental health and addiction issues.
