No death penalty in the Davis stabber case. Carlos Dominguez, the man accused in the deadly Davis stabbing spree last spring will not face the death penalty.
Prosecutors in Yolo County telling a judge Monday that they will “not seek the death penalty at this time.” Dominguez is scheduled for a four-day preliminary hearing in Woodland.
He is the charged with the murder of two Davis men, and the attempted murder of a woman in late May and early June of last year.
After spending time in a state hospital, Dominguez was ruled competent to stand trial in January.
