After some relief, there’s once again a little more pain at the pump for California drivers. Gas prices in the Golden State are some of the highest they’ve been in almost three months. According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular is $3.27 and in California, it’s $4.63 a gallon climbing eleven cents a gallon over the last week.

Industry experts say gas prices are seasonal and that the price per gallon normally always goes up as winter comes to a close. Demand increases as the weather shifts and summer fuel blends are much more expensive for gas stations.
