After Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore decided to step down at the end of February, San Francisco’s Police Chief Bill Scott says he’s “not interested’ in LAPD’s top spot.
Chief Scott told The San Francisco Standard, “I am not interested in any other job, I have important work to complete here in San Francisco that includes continuing and sustaining our reform efforts, addressing crime, helping our city recover economically, and rebuilding our police force to ensure we have the staff to meet all the city’s challenges for years to come.”
Having previously served for 27 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, Scott had originally been a finalist for the Los Angeles job in the past but lost to Moore.
