SF Closes More Big Retailers In Downtown, Union Square.

(San Francisco, CA) — Office Depot’s downtown store is set to permanently close, according to signs posted on the building. It’s unclear exactly when the store will close. The store is located on the ground floor of an eight-story parking garage that also is home to a California Pizza Kitchen. The San Francisco Business Times says a developer submitted plans to turn the parking garage into a mixed-use high-rise back in 2020, but the project seemingly is not moving forward. Women’s retailer and home decor store Anthropologie is also closing their Union Square location. That closure is already in the works and will close it’s doors by May 13th. Anthropologie’s store closure marks the 17th store to leave Union Square in the last three years.
