Newsom Under Fire For Dodging Fentanyl Crisis
(San Francisco, CA) — Governor Gavin Newsom is under fire for dodging a question on the fentanyl crisis.
The UK Daily mail described the JJ Smith video tweet this way: ‘You tell me’: California Gov. Gavin Newsom admits he is clueless about how to deal with fentanyl epidemic as he shrugs off community activist’s question during unannounced visit to San Fran’s drug-plagued Tenderloin district.
Homeless advocate JJ Smith asked the question during Newsom's surprise visit Wednesday to San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood. Newsom was joined by Attorney General Rob Bonta and Mayor London Breed. Smith says he's out on the streets everyday helping out the homeless population and those battling drug addiction. Sometime later, Smith and Newsom were all smiles in a selfie posted on Twitter. Homeless advocate JJ Smith says he’s not really affected by Newsom avoiding his question. See the Tweet below:
