Passover Holiday Begins At Sundown

(Undated) — Jewish people around the world began the observance of Passover tonight at sundown. The holiday lasts eight days and eight nights and celebrates the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Passover starts with a traditional Seder dinner, which includes the telling of the story of Moses leading the exodus out of Egypt. Those observing will eat matzo instead of bread products during the holiday to commemorate the Israelites having to eat unleavened bread. Passover runs for eight days and eight nights, and will conclude at sunset on April 13th.
