California Bill Placing Limits On Traffic Stops Moves Forward
(Sacramento, CA) — California lawmakers are advancing a bill that would place limits on traffic stops for minor violations. , unless another reason for a stop exists. Bill author state Senator Steven Bradford, who is Black, says he was once pulled over for a broken headlight and was forced to take a field sobriety test, a stop he says would’ve been prevented under the proposal.
