Dr. Ferrer: The Pandemic Is Not Over
(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County health leaders are continuing to hector Angelenos — while emergency declarations on COVID-19 are about to end — that they still need to take precautions. County Health Director Barbara Ferrer- who is not a medical doctor- said this week people should “continue taking sensible steps to protect themselves and others against severe illness and help keep hospitalization and death rates low.” She cannot let go of the pandemic after her policies caused endless harm, continues to say–without science, that her department is acutely aware that the pandemic is not over and that there are people within the county who continue to feel the hardships of COVID-19 every day. The L.A. County Board of Supervisors agreed to end the region’s COVID emergency declarations at the end of this month. Supervisors also made it clear — they believe the move does not mean the virus no longer poses a threat.
