(Washington, DC) — California Senator Dianne Feinstein won’t run for reelection next year. In a statement, the Democrat said she’ll finish her current term. She was elected to the Senate in 1992 and is the long-serving female senator ever. There had been mounting pressure on her to make a decision as other Democrats had already announced a bid for her seat. They include Congressman Adam Schiff who now has the support of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi since Feinstein’s not seeking another term.
