Cali Airports Backup With Southwest Flight Cancellations

(Sacramento, CA) — As a new series of storms moves into Northern California, Southwest Airlines has cancelled more than 80-percent of its flights at Sacramento International as of this morning. The airline is trying to catch up and reposition flight crews after hundreds of holiday cancellations. Other California airports are seeing the same thing as 79-percent of flights out of San Francisco International and 75-percent at San Diego International were canceled for the 24-hour period ending at seven this morning. About 100 departing flights from LAX are canceled, according to the tracking website FlightAware while John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana is seeing 93 cancellations at last report.
