NY Health, Education Officials Recommend Masks Again Due To Tripledemic

(Albany, NY) — New York State officials are recommending masks again in light of the Tripledemic surge. With hospitals getting jam-packed and emergency room lines out the door, health and education officials are dusting off pandemic guidelines to deal with the surge in RSV, flu and COVID cases. A letter has gone out to school districts recommending wearing masks indoors. It’s not a mandate, but some schools are notifying parents that if their child has cold symptoms, they should wear a mask in class or better yet, stay home. The CDC is recommending masks indoors in five New York counties: Nassau, Suffolk, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
