(Bristol, CT) — ESPN is exploring a bigger push into sports betting. That’s according to the network’s chairman Jimmy Pitaro. He said they’ve been talking to major sports gambling companies and it’s looking at the next logical step. Although, he made clear ESPN won’t be creating its own sportsbook and won’t be spreading odds and lines. Pitaro said no deal is “imminent” due to the recent reappointment of Disney CEO Bob Iger. He added Iger needs to be brought up to speed on the landscape of the business.
