(Sacramento, CA) — As the state moves toward a carbon-free future, one group is calling to save oil industry jobs in California. The Central Valley Business Federation launched a campaign on Thursday called “My Job Depends On Oil”. Clint Olivier, chief executive officer of the business federation, says it’s all about letting people know that jobs and communities depend on oil. Over 300-hundred-66-thousand people work in the oil industry. Olivier is also concerned about a “just transition” for workers, meaning the framework that gives them protection and support.
