(Sacramento, CA) — Fast food workers are on the picket lines across California today. Cooks and cashiers in Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles and San Diego are on strike to demand McDonald’s, Starbucks and other industry leaders to drop their referendum which seeks to overturn the FAST Recovery Act. The law creates a state council to regulate fast food industry working conditions. Striking workers will also call on their employers to participate in the Fast Food Council.
