Dem leader Jeffries says–despite evidence to the contrary–there is ‘much to celebrate’ about the economy

(San Diego, CA) — Representative Hakeem Jeffries is confident that Democrats will continue to hold the majority in Congress following the midterm elections. Appearing on CBS’ Face the Nation, the New York Democrat said although the electorate is “unsettled,” there is much to celebrate in terms of progress despite President Biden’s sagging approval rating. Jeffries cited legislation passed by his party just this week to address domestic terrorism and price gouging at the pump.
