(San Francisco, CA) — Uber is no longer requiring drivers and riders to wear a mask. The policy takes effect today. It comes just one day after a federal judge struck down the mask mandate that’s been in effect on planes and other modes of public transportation. Despite the mask rule no longer being in effect, Uber noted a CDC recommendation about masking up if virus levels are high in a person’s area or if they’re at high risk of contracting COVID.
