Angels Staffer Found Guilty In Tyler Skaggs’ Death

(Fort Worth, TX) — There’s been a guilty verdict in the trial involving the death of former MLB pitcher Tyler Skaggs. The jury found former Los Angeles Angels communications director Eric Kay guilty of distribution of controlled substances resulting in the 2019 death and conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute. He faces a minimum 20-year prison sentence. Skaggs, a pitcher for the Angels, was found dead in his Dallas-area hotel room in July 2019. He had fentanyl, oxycodone and alcohol in his system.
