(Los Angeles, CA) — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is raising some water rates for 2022, which means higher bills. The LADWP says the rate adjustments will mostly impact residential customers who use the most water. The utility is using a four-tiered pricing structure determined by water use levels. Those in the lowest tiers, one and two, will see little to no rate changes from their monthly rates in 2021, unless they start using a lot more water this year. Those in tier three will pay about ten-dollars more per month, while those in tier four will pay about 13-dollars more per month.
