Kim Potter Guilty In Manslaughter Trial
(Minneapolis, MN) — Former Minnesota police officer Kim Potter has been found guilty of manslaughter for killing an unarmed Black man during a traffic stop. Potter always maintained she shot Daunte Wright by accident when he resisted arrest, mistaking her service weapon for her Taser. She faces over 20 years behind bars. Potter was emotionless as the verdict was read. She will remain behind bars until she is sentenced in mid-February.
