(Los Angeles, CA) — There’s a possibility the University of California switches back to full remote learning when the spring semester starts on January 10th. A message sent to the campus community yesterday mentioned it as a possibility, depending on the spread of coronavirus and the Omicron variant during the next few days. USC says it has no plans to go online for now, but is considering the possibility of a “temporary remote start” in January. The university also says it is likely to require students attending in-person classes to take the coronavirus vaccine booster. An update on plans for the spring semester is expected in the coming days.
