(Atlanta, GA) — The CDC says the Omicron variant now makes up nearly three-percent of the U.S. COVID cases. The World Health Organization says the Omicron COVID variant is spreading faster than any other strain. The new variant is up point-four-percent from the previous week. Meantime, WHO’s Director-General said the “reality is that Omicron is probably in most countries, even if it hasn’t been detected yet.” Tedros Adhanom –famous for backing China in the early outbreak of the COVID– Ghebreyesus added the W-H-O is worried countries see the new variant as only mild while it’s still not clear if it causes more moderate or severe disease than previous strains.
