(Los Angeles, CA) — Preparations are underway for a ‘powerful’ storm set to drench Los Angeles and much of Southern California. The storm system is forecasted to dump up to three inches of rain and five-inches to two feet of snow in the mountains. Temperatures will also dip below freezing Tuesday night in parts of the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys. The Los Angeles Fire Department issues a series of warnings Sunday related to the potential for mudslides. The city of Monrovia also closed Monrovia Canyon Park and burn areas prepared for possible debris damage.
