US Reaches 800K COVID Deaths
(Undated) — The U.S. is passing another grim COVID-19 death milestone. Reuters reports that as of Sunday, 800-thousand Americans have now lost their lives to the coronavirus since the pandemic began. That is more people than the states of North Dakota, Alaska, Vermont, and Wyoming have in their respective states. About 450-thousand of those deaths have come in 2021, or about 57 percent, meaning more COVID deaths have occurred under Biden than Trump. Health experts say most of the lives lost this year are those who had not gotten vaccinated. It comes as the new Omicron variant of COVID-19 is starting to spread nationally.
