(Sacramento, CA) — The indoor mask mandate is back in California, emulating the restrictive policy of LA County. State health officials announced Monday the mask mandate will be reinstated on Wednesday and run through January 15th. The state is also tightening the negative test requirements for non-vaccinated people attending mega events of a thousand people or more. They must now show a negative test within one day of the event. Travelers who return to or visit California are advised to get tested within three to five days of arrival. Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly says COVID-19 case rates have spiked by 47 percent in the state since Thanksgiving.
