(Oklahoma City, OK) — An Oklahoma lawmaker is proposing renaming a small stretch of state highway after former University of Oklahoma football coach Lincoln Riley, who left the small state for USC. The bill proposed by Republican State Senator Bill Coleman would designate the last three inches of the westbound lane of State Highway 325 in the panhandle as the “Lincoln Riley Highway.” Riley recently left the Sooners program to become head coach at the University of Southern California. Coleman says he found the “tiniest section of our most desolate of highways to pay tribute to Coach Riley’s exit from Oklahoma football and the state.”
