SoCal Robbers Wore ‘Police-Type’ Gear While Robbing Victims At Gunpoint

(Los Angeles, CA) — Police are investigating an armed robbery with suspects clad in “police-type” gear. Surveillance video shows the thieves attacking a group of victims outside a home before forcing them inside. Three more suspects came onto the scene after the house was unlocked and stole the victims’ belongings. The incident comes as the city and state are plagued by a rash of smash-and-grab and follow-home robberies. The LAPD developed a “Follow Home Task Force” in response to the growing crime trend after one follow-home robbery attempt ended in murder.
