Gas prices in LA drop 3 cents from record high. That’s what President Biden calls ‘significant’.

(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County’s gas prices are dropping, but it is hard to notice. The Automobile Club of Southern California says local drivers are currently paying an average of four-dollars 69 cents for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline. That’s eight consecutive days that prices have dropped after setting a record high of four-72 just over a week ago. The current average is two cents lower than last week’s average — but a dime higher than last month’s price at the pump. It’s also a dollar-54 higher than one year ago. Triple “A” says gas prices are expected to fall because of drops in the price of crude oil. The agency also points out this is the time of year when demand for gasoline is at it lowest.
