Rash Of Robberies Sweeps SF Bay Area
(San Jose, CA) — The San Francisco Bay Area is weathering a storm of smash and grab robberies. San Jose Police say the latest happened last night when a group of suspects made off with high-end athletic apparel from a Lululemon store. The thieves were gone by the time officers could get to the store. Police in Walnut Creek estimate about 80 people stormed a Nordstrom store Saturday night. They assaulted three employees and made off with thousands of dollars in expensive items in a smash-and-grab holdup. The trend started Friday night in San Francisco when thieves stole expensive bags from a Louis Vuitton store in the Union Square shopping center.
