(Los Angeles, CA) — Los Angeles County’s gas prices continue to climb. The Automobile Club of Southern California says local drivers are currently paying an average of four-dollars 70 cents or a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline. That’s four cents more than last week’s average and 17 cents higher than last month’s price at the pump. It’s also an increase of a dollar-56 over last year’s average in L.A. County. Triple “A” says high crude oil prices are causing Southland gas prices to rise to their highest level since October 2012. The county’s current average is moving within four-tenths of a cent of its record high.
