(Omaha, NE) — A renowned economist is predicting a 10-percent increase in retail store sales this holiday season. Creighton University Economist Ernie Goss says shoppers are worried that online orders won’t be delivered in time, and he expects many will go to local stores, instead. He says even if you factor out rising prices and the five-percent inflation rate, retail sales are likely to go up.That’s the good news, the bad news, Goss says is there will not be very many good bargains this year because of supply chain problems and shortages.
Shop carefully: Christmas prices up, holiday bargains down.
