The L-A-P-D is investigating 110 so-called “follow-home” robberies that have happened this year.
Detectives say many of the victims are being followed home from shopping or dining in high-end areas, like Melrose Avenue, the Jewelry District in Downtown, and from restaurants and nightclubs in the Hollywood and Wilshire areas. Suspects are following residents home when they’re out, then stealing their expensive jewelry, cars, and more once they get home.
