(Washington, DC) — An FDA advisory panel is recommending the use of a coronavirus vaccine booster shot from Moderna. The committee’s recommendation was unanimous. The panel’s endorsement pertains to those 65 and older in addition to other high risk Americans. The panel’s recommendation is nonbinding and it still has some more steps to go through before Americans could get their third dose. A booster shot from Pfizer has already been authorized.
