COVID Deaths, Hospitalizations Trending Downward–So How Come We Are Getting MORE LOCKED DOWN?

By

/

(Atlanta, GA) — Officials say new COVID cases and hospitalizations are ticking downward. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said the rate of deaths is remaining steady at about 14-hundred per day. White House COVID coordinator Jeff Zients says efforts are ongoing to get more Americans vaccinated and stressed that about four-million Americans have received Pfizer booster shots. Meantime, Zients said the Biden administration is making a big push on rapid testing for at home use.

This isn’t stopping LA County and City Pols from announcing no-end-date and no-target-goals more-restrictive vaccine rules:

LA City Council Votes To Require Vaccines In Many Places

(Los Angeles, CA) — The City Council in Los Angeles is voting in favor of requiring COVID-19 vaccinations to enter many public businesses. It’s similar to ordinances in San Francisco and New York City. The eleven-to-two vote means the rule will go into effect without an urgency clause, so it will start next month. It will apply to facilities that serve food or beverages. That includes bars, gyms, entertainment venues, shopping centers and personal care facilities.

This might lead one to wonder what ever happened to the rationale of ‘following the science’.
