Wild, stormy, scary weather hits SoCal

(Los Angeles, CA) — All beaches in Los Angeles County were closed to the public as lightning bolted through the skies of Southern California. Just before five o’clock yesterday afternoon, lifeguards ordered everybody out of the water, and advised all boaters to return to harbors immediately. The start of last night’s Chargers-Raiders game at SoFi Stadium was also delayed for close to an hour because of the bolts not on the field, but in the sky. Thunderstorms and light rain continued throughout the afternoon and night, but the storm system is clearing out this morning.
