Pending home sales jump–across the country

(Chicago, IL) — The red-hot real estate market is making a comeback. The National Association of Realtors says pending homes sales jumped just over eight-percent in August. That reversed two months of declines. Analysts were looking for a modest one-percent jump. Pending sales saw the highest jump in the Midwest with a nearly ten-and-a-half percent increase. Sales in the South rose about eight-and-a-half percent while the West and Northeast also saw increases.
