(New Brunswick, NJ) — Johnson & Johnson says a booster of its COVID-19 vaccine two months after the first shot offers 94-percent protection. The New Jersey-based company says additional data shows a four-fold increase in antibodies when given at two months, compared to a 12-fold increase in antibodies when the booster is given at six months. The booster shot also showed 100-percent protection against severe COVID-19 infection at least 14 days after final vaccination.
