Homeland Security Sec Gets Update On Border Surge

(Del Rio, TX) — The head of Homeland Security says — despite any actual evidence–they are swiftly processing and removing the thousands of Haitian migrants who are living under an international bridge on the Texas border, seeking asylum. Alejandro Mayorkas–not VP Kamala Harris who President Biden put in charge of the border was in Del Rio, Texas, to receive what is being called an operational briefing. He says there will be up to three flights a day, returning these Haitian nationals to their island home. Many are also being moved to other processing centers– within the USA, to expedite the cases. Upwards of 12-thousand migrants remain under Del Rio International Bridge.

Abbott Wants Fed Emergency Declaration Over Border

(Austin, TX) — Texas Governor Greg Abbott wants a federal emergency declaration over the Mexican border. He sent a letter to President Biden today saying a large migrant camp on the International Bridge in Del Rio is overwhelming federal agents and the community. The governor is particularly worried about conditions inside the camp, especially if people start suffering from heat exhaustion and coronavirus. He believes the Del Rio-area hospital system could be overrun if too many people need treatment. Del Rio has about 35,000 residents and 12,000-14,000 migrants.
