(San Fernando, CA) — A preliminary three-point-oh magnitude earthquake shakes the LA basin on election day. The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake was centered about two miles from San Fernando just before 6 p.m. There are no immediate reports of damage or injury. It was the second shaker of the day in the area. A little after 2:30, a two-point-nine quake hit the mountains in the Cajon Pass area.
